Mrs. Libby's Class plants with Mrs. Begin's Class

On June 3, we planted seeds with Mrs. Begin's second grade class.  We planted pumpkin seeds and Mrs. Begin's class planted cherry tomatoes.  We planted the seeds in cups outside by the spider.

Over the summer, the seeds will grow into plants.  When we come back to school in September, the fruit will be ready to eat.  The cafeteria will be able to use them in the food that they make.  The fruit will make us stronger.

We had lots of fun!  It was marvelous!  After, we had ten extra minutes and we played with the second graders on the playground for centers!

It will be fun to come back in the fall to see AND eat the pumpkins and tomatoes!!! I think it is really cool that you were able to help out the school with providing healthy food for all the students!

    1. Thank you for commenting, Mrs. Begin! I agree, it will be exciting to see how big the plants will be when school starts. I'm looking forward to trying a juicy tomato!

      Enjoy your summer!
